Sunglasses: It is important to protect your eyes! In the South Texas heat, you would not go out in the sun without sunscreen and you should not go out without the proper protection for your eyes. Damage can come from wind, UV rays, infrared rays and glare. We carry the latest technological advances in polarized lenses, custom tinting, UV coating and mirrored coatings as well as an assortment of sunglass styles to help minimize sun exposure and enhance activities such as golf, cycling, sport shooting, hunting and driving. Specialty Contact LensesDr. Haynes evaluates, fits, and prescribes a large selection of soft disposable and rigid gas permeable (RGP) contact lenses. We offer soft contact lenses to include daily wear, two week, and monthly disposable contacts. One of the recent advances in lens material technology is the introduction of silicon/hydrogel lenses. These lenses offer more oxygen permeability than other disposable contacts. This allows extended wear time (in some cases lenses are FDA approved for overnight wear), with greater comfort. We also offer customized RGP lenses for patients with complex prescriptions. Many brands of soft and rigid lenses are available for multifocal or astigmatism needs.
